Individual
& Team

RCC Foundations is our cornerstone experience, combining the RCC Assessment and interactive workshop for individuals, leaders, and teams who want to strengthen their ability to build trust and drive results through relationships grounded in Responsive Care Communication (RCC).

BRSF Closes the Gap

The promise of care is everywhere. Learning to communicate care in a way others can receive it is how we turn good intentions into real trust.

91% of employees perform best when they feel cared for. While 33% feel they receive care from their leader or from others on their team.

The gap isn’t about intention. Most people genuinely care. It’s about whether that care is communicated in a way others can actually receive, in a way that resonates.

And when care is felt, the results are real: stronger motivation, higher retention, a greater sense of belonging. RCC exists to close that gap, for every person, in every kind of moment.

What RCC Is

An evidence-based framework developed by Brooklyn Raney, EdD. RCC identifies four distinct domains of care communication, along with the insight that every person has a dominant domain.

Knowing your dominant domain is the first step. Becoming fluent in all four is what makes care intentional rather than habitual, and felt rather than just intended.

The Four Domains of
Responsive Care Communication

Cheerleading — Encouragement

Communicates belief through praise and recognition. Best when someone needs confidence or to see their progress.

"You've got this. I believe in you."

Challenging — Accountability

Communicates high standards and belief in someone's capacity to grow. Best when someone needs to be pushed to what they're capable of.

"I know you can make this stronger."

Coaching — Advisement

Communicates support, choice, and shared power. Best when someone needs direction or to think through a path forward.

"What's your plan? Want some advice?"

Comforting — Affirmation

Communicates kindness, assurance, and safety. Best when someone is struggling or needs to feel seen.

"I hear you. You'll get through this."

Choose Your Path

RCC Foundations works the same way whether you’re building your own fluency or building it across a team. The assessment and the four domains stay the same. What changes is who’s in the room.
