About BRSF

Two researchers. One shared belief: care, when communicated effectively, allows people to do their best work.

Brooklyn Raney, EdD

Brooklyn Raney, EdD is an educator, researcher, and leadership advisor focused on how trust, care, and relationships shape performance and growth.

Her doctoral studies at the University of Pennsylvania centered on a specific question: how do relationships, care, and trust shape confidence, belonging, and growth? That research became the foundation for Responsive Care Communication (RCC) — the evidence-based framework at the center of BRSF’s work today.

Stephanie Fitzpatrick, EdD

Stephanie Fitzpatrick, EdD is a leadership development executive and researcher with deep experience building talent and leadership systems inside large organizations.

Her doctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania — alongside Brooklyn’s — sharpened decades of hands-on experience leading learning, talent, and leadership development at scale. She brings that operating reality to BRSF: turning research into something that works inside the complexity of a real organization.

Jill Friedlander, JD

Jill Friedlander, JD is a publishing and product expert who translates BRSF’s research into the practical tools leaders, teams, and organizations use every day.

Different starting points. Same conclusion: people perform at their best when expectations are clear, trust is strong, and care is genuinely felt — not just intended.
